Dear Good People,

I am so grateful to all who email me, phone me, and give feedback on our diet and their lives. I get very attached sometimes and become a small part of patient lives. Food is such a connection for us.

We have a study going on (still recruiting pregnant women with Crohn’s!), and I have such hope for helping future generations to prevent this awful disease. In the meantime, I am also working with women I’ve known since before their children were born….and get to see the incredible miracles of health. Jess is one such mom, and she gives me permission to share the pictures below of her two girls, who happily eat an IBD-AID diet along with Mom.

It is a reminder to me of why I do what I do. Yes, I make a living and have a career…but what I REALLY live for are the stories of people reaching their potential in life, because they are able to manage their disease and get back out there and do what they are good at. I can’t say its ALL due to the IBD-AID, but some of it is. For this, I am grateful to be able to facilitate and pass it along, and continue my research.

Never give up hope. Customize the diet to your life, make the changes needed. Reach your potential. Look into the eyes of your children, your family and friends…and know that you are worth it.

Enjoy!
Barbara
