Mock Balsamic Vinegar

Yields: ½ cup

  • ¾ cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon honey – local is best
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a sauce pan; bring to a rolling boil for 3 to 5 minutes. 
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. 
  3. Allow the sauce to cool.  Store in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
