Lisa's Favorite Kale Smoothie Recipe


Core Ingredients
1 large handful of kale (any kind, or spinach)
1 ripe banana
1 large handful berries or whole (sliced up) fruit of choice
½ cup non-dairy milk of choice (unsweetened)
½ cup ice

Optional Ingredients (add any or all to make it even better)
½ cup cooked steel-cut oats or oat groats (increases soluble fiber)
½ cup cooked beans (increases soluble fiber)
1 tablespoon flax meal or chia or hemp seeds (increases soluble fiber and omega-3s)
1 tablespoon peanut or other nut butter (increases healthy fats and protein)
1 teaspoon honey if your banana is not very ripe (anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial)

Put everything into a blender and blend until smooth!
