Butternut Squash Hemp Seed Puree

Prep Time: 5 minutes     Cook Time: 10 minutes        Makes: 2-4 servings


  • 2 cups butternut squash, peeled and cubed (pre-packaged is great)
  • ¼ cup hulled hemp seeds
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)


  1. Add squash to medium pot of boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat, drain, and set aside.
  2. Add hemp seeds, 1 cup of water, and garlic to high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Mixture should be thick and creamy. Strain through nut milk bag or cheese cloth if necessary.
  3. Add squash and hemp mixture to high-speed blender and blend until just smooth. Salt and pepper to taste.
