Banana Oat Smoothie

  • 2 ice cubes
  • 2 small ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened soy or almond milk, or use half soy or almond milk and half plain nonfat or lowfat yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp cooked steel cut oats
  1. Place ice cubes into blender and blend to crush.  
  2. Add the remaining ingredients; blend until smooth.  

This smoothie is nutritious and soothing during Phase 1 (you are currently experiencing a flare.) Can also add water if consistency is too thick.

Recipe Yields: 2-3 servings
