"Work Effectively at UMass Chan"

“Work Effectively at UMass Chan” supports your success in your new role.  As such, it is not a central course, but highly unique to each group and position.  In short, it means:

• Gaining understanding of the general processes your group performs to support the UMass Chan mission
• Gaining competence experience carrying out processes, using the requisite systems, tools, document, equipment, etc.
• Demonstrating your ability to work with the parameters of your job description, including surrounding questions of autonomy and supervision.
• Demonstrating your ability to reflect UMass Chan values like civility and collaboration when performing your work

Work with your department management to gain a solid understanding of your responsibilities, and the processes and tools you will use to perform your work.
