Vascular Surgery Presentations
At the recent meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery, six UMass Chan students received scholarships to attend the meeting and gave case presentations at the annual Professors’ Rounds. Second year medical students, Calvin Chao, Shernaz Dossabhoy, and Stephanie Carvalho presented on topics of “Retrograde pedal access for treatment of superficial femoral artery disease,” “Total endovascular aortic arch repair,” and “Endovascular approach to recurrent aortic coarctation,” respectively. Third year medical students, Emily Fan and Jonathan Durgin, presented on “Mycotic pseudoaneurysm” and “Traumatic brachial artery transection,” respectively. Fourth year medical student, Hazel Briner, presented a case of “Middle aortic syndrome.” The 43rd annual meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery was held on September 23 to 25, 2016 in Stowe, Vermont.
