NECStR Run WFD 6k Road Race

The staff at the NECStR, New England Center for Stroke Research participated in the Worcester Fire Department's 6K Road Road Race. The race is held each year to commemorate the  6 fallen firefighters from the Worcester Cold Storage fire in 1999. The race donates proceeds to four local charities. In addition to this important memorial, Director Matt Gounis reports that the lab ran the race in response to the internet challenge to the Interventional Neurological Surgery community’s awareness about physical activity and stroke prevention: https://twitter.com/hashtag/ELVOpushupchallenge?src=hash
