Radiology Residency Match 2026

It was another successful year for UMass Radiology in the recent Residency MATCH! Our residency programs continue to grow, and this marked the first year we matched 2 residents to our Integrated IR/DR program. In total, we will have 9 fantastic new residents starting work in the department in July 2027 (7 DR and 2 IR/DR), and we were thrilled to welcome 2 UMass Chan medical students among this class!

Radiology remains a very competitive specialty overall, and our recruitment season was once again filled with many outstanding candidates. After reviewing more than 1,000 applications, we conducted 130 interviews, hosted an Open House event, Q/A sessions, and social hours with our current residents. As always, our success was the result of outstanding teamwork - coordinators, faculty, and residents - who dedicated countless hours during the recruitment season. Thank you to all who participated and supported this effort! Your hard work paid off!
