Venkatesh Murugan, MD Selected for RSNA ITSR Program

Venkatesh Murugan, MBBS, Radiology Resident, UMass Chan Medical SchoolRadiology Resident Venkatesh Murugan, MBBS has been selected for the RSNA/AUR/ARRS Introduction to Academic Radiology (ITAR) Program. He has been invited to attend the ITAR program held during the RSNA Annual Meeting, which begins on Sunday, November 26th, and ends on Thursday, November 30th 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. Congratulations Dr. Murugan!

Introduction to Academic Radiology

Introduction to Academic Radiology is co-sponsored by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Association of University Radiologists (AUR), and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) to introduce residents to academic radiology in the second year of their residencies (PGY3).

Participants will:

  • Learn the importance of research in diagnostic radiology
  • Witness the excitement of academic careers
  • Meet successful clinical radiology researchers

Successful applicants will be assigned to either the program held during the 2017 RSNA Scientific Assembly, or the one held during the 2018 ARRS Scientific Meeting. Nominations are welcome for residents in programs based in the United States or Canada. Only one nomination per department is allowed.

A $1,000 award will be made to the departments of accepted applicants to be used to help advance the applicant’s academic career.
