Welcoming Brian Brochu, MD

Date Posted: Wednesday, April 01, 2015

brian brochu The Department is pleased to welcome Brian Brochu, MD back to UMass! As many of you know, Dr. Brochu is no  stranger here.  He completed both his residency and fellowship training at UMass from 2004 to 2009.  This past  month, on March 16, he began as an MSK Radiologist and an Assistant Professor.

After Dr. Brochu graduated from his MRI Fellowship, he began working immediately at Marlborough Radiology  Associates.  For six years, along with three others in the private practice, he worked in general radiology for  Marlborough, Clinton, and Southboro Medical Group.  Dr. Brochu believes that being in general radiology has given him a good base in all specialties, and now, in the next part of his career, he can focus more clearly on MSK.  “MSK just seems natural” Dr. Brochu says.

As a chief resident here, Dr. Brochu was responsible for speaking at conferences and teaching residents.  He states, “everything that is old is new again”.  He is looking forward to advancing his radiology skills while helping others do the same.  Dr. Brochu can be contacted at: Brian.Brochu@umassmemorial.org

“It is great to see Brian back.  He was one of the first residents I had the pleasure to teach when I first joined UMass.  I’m sure he will fit right in and be an asset to the division and the department.  We are excited to have him join our team.”
