Cathryn Glanton Holzhauer, PhD
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry |
Dr. Glanton Holzhauer is Assistant Professor within the Division at UMass Chan and a Research Psychologist at the Central Western Massachusetts VA. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany in 2015. Her research focuses on the development of cognitive behavioral therapies for alcohol use disorders (AUDs) and studying the mechanisms of these therapies that drive change, particularly as they pertain to subgroups of individuals with AUDs. She is focused on understanding gender differences within these mechanisms and the unique needs of women and Veterans with AUDs. Her current VISN 1 VA Career Development Award examines emotion dysregulation as a therapeutic target among women Veterans with alcohol misuse.
