Application Procedures

Applicants must hold or be nearing completion of a doctoral degree in clinical/counseling psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program, including an APA/CPA-accredited internship with neuropsychology emphasis. Applicants who are invited for interviews will also be asked to document prior training experiences in detail, both to help demonstrate fit with the program, and also to assess the applicants’ preparedness for Massachusetts licensure.

Applications should include a detailed letter of interest, CV, an official graduate transcript, and two de-identified sample neuropsychological assessment reports, and can be sent via email or by mail. Three letters of recommendation should also be provided.  Via email these should be sent directly from the writer to Dr. Dessureau. By mail, these should be sent as part of the applicant’s packet in an envelope signed across the seal, or can be mailed directly to Dr. Dessureau by the writer.

Specific application dates vary yearly- contact Dr. Dessureau for the specific date each year.  On-campus interviews will be scheduled in the weeks following the application deadline.  These in-person interviews are strongly recommended, as this allows the applicant to better assess their “fit” with our program, although phone interviews may be conducted if needed.  At present, we do not anticipate interviewing at the INS conference. We also do not participate in the APPCN matching program, though we will work to respect candidate’s needs in relation to the match.
