Nancy Byatt selected to receive the 2020 John C. MacQueen award by AMCHP!

Nancy Byatt, DO, MS, MBA, FACLP, an iSPARC researcher, has been selected for the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) 2020 John C. MacQueen award. AMCHP established the award and annual lectureship to honor Dr. John C. MacQueen, one of their most distinguished members, and the former director of the Iowa state program for children with special health care needs.

The award honors individuals who have made exemplary contributions to maternal and child health issues. Criteria for the award include: the awardee is a contributor to the field of MCH; the awardee is an advocate on behalf of the MCH community; the awardee focuses their work on/around the establishment and maintenance of healthy communities; and the awardee can deliver a dynamic/inspirational lecture to the MCH community.

The AMCHP Board recognizes Dr. Byatt's long career of excellence and innovation in maternal and child health and her tireless work advancing the field of MCH. The award includes the honor of delivering an approximate 20-minute lecture on a topic of Dr. Byatt's choosing at the opening general session of the AMCHP's Annual Conference. The conference will be held March 21 – 24, 2020 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.
