Why UMass Medical School?

The University of Massachusetts Medical School comprises three graduate schools: the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Graduate School of Nursing. The educational experience at UMMS lays the foundation for students to succeed as future physicians, biomedical researchers and advanced practice nurses in the commonwealth and the world. Our students immerse themselves in serving the diverse population of Worcester and our surrounding communities. Plentiful educational opportunities, in and out of the classroom, help shape our students into health care leaders and innovators in research and discovery—all with a patient-first mindset. No matter where you come from, you’ll feel at home with our diverse and globally minded community of faculty and students.

Our campus is currently closed for in-person tours due to COVID-19. We invite you to take a virtual tour.
