Wendy Marsh, MD received her BA from Pomona College, Claremont CA and then completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit MI. During Medical school she was awarded an NIH fellowship at the National Institute of Mental health (NIMH) where she researched depression and behavioral endocrinology. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Stanford University where she engaged in research in mood and women her final years. She then continued on at Stanford as a fellow in clinical research studying bipolar disorder and reproductive endocrinology on a NIMH Biobehavioral Training Grant.  Since arriving at the University of Massachusetts she primarily engages in research on bipolar disorder and menopause supported by a career development (K) Award. She continues to focus on mood disorders in relation to reproductive phases.  Dr. Marsh is Director of the Bipolar Disorders Specialty Clinic and Medical Director of the Depression Specialty Consult Clinic. She also works as a perinatal psychiatrist for MCPAP for Moms and in the Women's Mental Health Division.  She teaches and supervises residents in psychopharmacology and her areas of expertise. She has approximately 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, plus multiple international presentations and book chapters.
