Stephanie Rodrigues, PhD
Post-Doctoral Fellow |
In addition to being a core member of the Division of Addiction Psychiatry at the UMass Chan Medical School, Dr. Stephanie Rodrigues also holds a position as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Center for Health Quality, Outcomes, and Economic Research (CHQOER), one of the 14 Centers of Excellence within the Veterans Administration Health Services and Research Development Service, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts. She has extensive research and clinical experience with severe mental illness and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in general, veteran, and homeless populations. Dr. Rodrigues received her graduate degree from the Combined Clinical/School Psychology Program at Hofstra University.
Research Interests
Throughout her career, Dr. Rodrigues has been committed to studying novel treatment programs and issues related to treatment engagement in individuals with severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and homelessness. Dr. Rodrigues is particularly interested in studying the role of self-stigma in the treatment engagement of these populations and on the implementation and evaluation of treatment programs that target stigma reduction.
