Mobile Technology

The mobile technology research group uses wearable sensors, mobile phones, and Web 2.0 technologies to explore news ways to promote and enhance current therapeutic interventions. Projects using these rapidly advancing technologies include using sensors to continuously monitor physiological symptoms of addiction as well as using mobile phones to deliver current and novel therapies. This incorporates enhancing cognitive behavioral therapies and providing support for individuals receiving psychopharmacological treatments.

  • Text messaging intervention to promote treatment engagement among homeless Veterans with co-occurring disorders at high-risk for dropping out of HUD-VASH
  • Test feasibility of mobile devices as a relapse prevention tool via real time monitoring
