Laboratory for Biomarker Development

Biomarkers are labeled agents, directed toward specific targets that may be used to diagnose or treat disease. When radiolabeled, their localization in mammalian subjects can be detected by external, non-invasive imaging including nuclear, optical and MRI. The Laboratory for Biomarker Development focuses on cancer diagnosis and treatment, infection detection and quantification of beta cell mass in the diabetic patient.
