The Research Team At Lifeline For Moms Is Awarded $21 Million To Study Equity In Mental Health Care In Perinatal Medicine

The Study Will Be Conducted In Perinatal Programs Across the Country Over Several Years

The research team at Lifeline For Moms has just won a $21 Million Award to study mental health equity in perinatal care.  The research team will be led by Nancy Byatt, DO, MS’15, MBA, professor of psychiatry, obstetrics & gynecology, and population & quantitative health sciences.  The team also includes Wendy Davis, PhD, executive director of Postpartum Support International, a nonprofit family support organization, and Christopher Sheldrick, PhD, professor of psychiatry at UMass Chan.  Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) provided the generous award for the multi-year study.
