Student Information
Interstitial Curriculum (ISC) days take place throughout the year. Reminders and agendas will be posted to Blackboard at least two weeks prior to the scheduled date. Each Interstitial day will have at least one hour of online prep work which is intentionally built into the schedule. If an ISC offers workshops, an email will go out three to four weeks prior asking students to make choices. Please be sure to respond to these emails promptly, as they do affect the ISC preparation timeline. Any assignments required by an Interstitial are expected to be uploaded to blackboard for submission.
All ISCs are graded as credit/no credit and all ISC grades will appear on your transcript. Successful completion of all ISCs will be noted in the Dean’s Letter. Receiving a “credit” is very straight forward, fulfill the following MANDATORY requirements:
Complete independent online prep work
Attend and participate in the sessions
Student will be required to sign in and out of the programs, as well as all the small group sessions (the same policy used to receive credit for continuing medical education programs)
Complete all ISC evaluations at end of each ISC event
All students who are absent will be required to do a make-up assignment with four weeks of the ISC date
