Medicine and the Human Experience
The Medicine and the Human Experience (MHE) curriculum is the third pillar of the Vista Curriculum, dedicated to exploring the societal, structural, and humanistic dimensions of health and medicine. Through interdisciplinary, engaged learning, MHE equips future physicians to understand and address the complex forces that shape patient care and health outcomes. Topics such as climate change, health equity, cultural humility, and health systems science are re-visited throughout the four-year curriculum. Grounded in community collaboration and partnership, the MHE curriculum prepares students to lead with empathy, insight, and social responsibility.
