USMLE Step 2 Timing Requirements Policy

Students must plan their schedules in order to met these deadlines and are encouraged to consult with the Center for Academic Achievement if they have questions regarding then optimal timing of their exam.

Students are required to take the USMLE Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) Examination no later than December 15th of their Advanced Studies year.

Failure to take the Step 2 examination by the specified deadlines will result in the student’s not being permitted to continue clinical coursework (required or elective) until the examination is taken.

Step 2CS is no longer a graduation requirement, effective March 1, 2021.

This policy change applies to all students graduating in the Class of 2021 and later, regardless of year of matriculation.
