Residents as Educators

Residents play a vital role in teaching our UMass Chan medical students. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requires medical residency programs to implement curricula that enhance resident teaching skills. All of the resources provided in the Educator Development Program are available to you.  In addition, specific resident resources are provided below.

The OUME manages the Teacher as Resident process, monitors compliance and provides resources to support this training to meet our LCME accreditation requirements. We ask residents who participate in the Educator Development Program self-guided modules to please identify themselves in the end-of-the-module survey so we can report to the UMass Chan and the affiliated sites on your commitment to improve your teaching skills.
