Application Process
1) Applicants apply to the primary American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) AMCAS application.
a. The Medical Scientist Training (MD-PhD) Program (MSTP) also requires a UMass Chan-specific secondary application.
i. In the secondary application, applicants must upload their current curriculum vitae (C.V.)
2) Applicants are reviewed and selected for interviews.
3) T.H. School of Medicine Interviews (click for more information)
a. Part I: Video upload in the Kira Talent portal:
After they receive an invitation notification, applicants will have 5 days to upload their video in Kira.
b. Part II: Approximately a week after video submission, applicants will be invited to a Zoom Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI).
4) Applicants who demonstrate competency in their MMI to be advanced to consideration for the MSTP will be invited for MSTP-specific interviews.
The Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) are an important component of admission to the MSTP at UMass Chan. We suggest that applicants prepare specifically for this component of our interview. 5) Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis starting approximately on December 1.
