Meet Our Residents! (2019-2020)

PGY-1:

PGY-2:

Giana Dalben, MD is a 2018 graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She earned her MA in International Relations from Salve Regina University in 2009 and her BA in Psychology in 2007 from Hannibal-LaGrange University. Giana is fluent in Spanish, Italian and Portugese and taught at the high school and college level prior to medical school. Her interests include global health and working with underserved populations. Giana also enjoys music and the fine arts.

Jordan Howard-Young, MD is a 2018 graduate of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He earned both his BA in International Development and Health (2013) and his MA in International Development (2014) from the University of Denver. Jordan’s interests include equal access to health care, community organizing and working with underserved populations. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking and traveling.

Rami Wehbi, DO is a 2018 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University where he received his BS in Biology. Rami speaks Arabic fluently and basic Spanish. He completed his intern year of a Family Medicine Residency at Penn Highlands in Dubois, PA. He is passionate about serving the underserved, particularly the refugee population, and looks forward to being actively engaged in our Osteopathic Training Track. He also has an interest in social media and produces a podcast, "Beyond Medicine."

PGY-3:

An-Hoa Giang, MD, Chief Resident, is a 2017 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine where she was enrolled in the joint MD/MPH program. She is a 2011 graduate of the University of Rochester, where she completed her BS in Microbiology and Immunology. An-Hoa’s academic interests include maternal child health and global health and her personal interests include rock climbing, skiing and cooking. 

Thanh Thu Ngo, MD is a 2017 graduate of UMass Chan Medical School and earned her BA in Biology from Wellesley College in 2010. Originally from Vietnam, Thu worked as a research coordinator in Boston prior to medical school. Her academic interests include maternal child health and global health. Thu also enjoys running, hiking and knitting. 

Nicele Puente, MD is a 2017 graduate of University of Virginia School of Medicine and earned her BA in International Relations from Boston University in 2004. Prior to medical school, Nicele served in the U.S. Army where she earned the rank of captain. Her academic interests include global health and adolescent medicine. Nicele also enjoys hiking and running.

Tri Trang, MD is a 2017 graduate of Albany Medical College and a 2012 graduate of Union College where he studied both Biology and Economics. Tri is a Worcester native and attended high school in the city. His interests include global health and working with diverse populations. Outside of the classroom, Tri also enjoys dancing, travel and physical fitness.
