Stellaris 8 STED

Push beyond the limits of conventional light microscopy with the Leica STELLARIS 8 STED, a powerful confocal and super-resolution imaging platform designed to reveal fine cellular and molecular details. Combining high-sensitivity confocal imaging with STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) super-resolution, the system enables researchers to visualize structures below the diffraction limit with exceptional detail and contrast.

The STELLARIS 8 STED features a tunable White Light Laser, 5 sensitive Power HyD detectors, fast scanning capabilities, and 2D and 3D STED imaging. Its flexible spectral capabilities make it well suited for multiplex imaging and investigating dynamic cellular processes at the nanoscale. The Stellaris 8 STED is the most diverse imaging system available at the SCOPE, with a suite of imaging modules, vast array of available objectives and the broadest range of compatible fluorophores. 

The SCOPE STELLARIS 8 STED brings advanced super-resolution imaging within reach for researchers looking to see more, resolve more, and uncover the finer details of their biology funded by a Massachusetts Life Science Center (MLSC) Research Infrastructure grant award to Drs. Kate Fitzgerald and Christina Baer.

The Stellaris 8 STED is available for use by all trained internal and external users. Contract imaging services are available on this system upon request.
