Nikon Widefield & Live Imaging Microscope

The Nikon Eclipse Ti-E is a versatile inverted widefield microscope designed for high-quality fluorescence and transmitted light imaging of fixed and live specimens. Equipped with a fully enclosed environmental chamber, this system provides stable temperature and atmospheric control, as well as the Nikon Perfect Focus System (PFS) for exceptional image quality in live imaging assays. 

The Nikon widefield and live cell imaging system is equipped with dual scientific CMOS cameras—the Andor Zyla sCMOS and Hamamatsu ORCA-Flash4.0 (C11440)—providing researchers with the flexibility to optimize image acquisition for both high-speed dynamics and sensitive fluorescence detection. The Andor Zyla sCMOS upgrade, purchased in partnership with Dr. Sumeda Nandadasa offers 100 fps (Camera link) and up to 27,000 fps (FCS mode). Multiple objectives are available ranging from an overview 2X 0.1NA to a high resolution 100X 1.40NA. The Lumincor light source provides exctiation for fluorescence imaging in 405nm, 488nm, 555nm and 640nm wavelengths. The CoolLED pE-100 LED illumination system is used for transmitted light applications. It has a fully motorized stage with a slide/dish insert and a multiwell plate format insert for versitile sample preparations. 

The system is controlled by the NIS-Elements Advanced Research (AR) software package and includes capability for z-stacks, timelapse, binning for high-speed acquitision, automated imaging using custom workflows, deconvolution module for enhanced resolution and more. 

The Nikon Widefield and Live Cell Imaging microscope is available for use by all trained internal and external users.
