Sudipta Tripathi and Mentee to Study Circulating T Cells in UMass Chan Summer Undergraduate Research Program
Sudipta Tripathi, PhD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Renal Medicine, is mentoring Haven Ubas, a rising senior at the University of New Orleans, as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Program at UMass Chan Medical School. Together, Haven and Dr. Tripathi will study circulating T cells, a type of white blood cell that defends the body against infections, viruses, and tumors, in healthy controls and transplant patients in the lab of Anil Chandraker, MD, the Jack M. Wilson Chair in Biomedical Research, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Renal Medicine.
