Pranoti Mandrekar, PhDPranoti Mandrekar Promoted to Vice Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Medicine

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Pranoti Mandrekar, PhD, FAASLD, as vice chair for faculty development in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Mandrekar has served as associate vice chair for faculty development in recent years.

As vice chair for faculty development, Dr. Mandrekar will continue to support the professional growth and academic advancement of Department of Medicine faculty. She has guided the development, implementation, and evaluation of faculty development and training programs; provided individualized mentorship to faculty pursuing promotion and tenure; and fostered collaborations that support research, scholarship, and career advancement across the department.

In this new role, she will continue this important faculty development work and oversee the Promotions & Appointments and Tenure Committees.

Dr. Mandrekar will also continue to direct the Medicine Scholars Program, which supports the advancement of mid-career faculty, and the Future Medicine Leaders Program, which builds upon that foundation by helping faculty sustain progress on scholarly projects and develop their leadership capabilities.

We are confident that Dr. Mandrekar’s experience, collaborative leadership, and deep commitment to faculty success will strengthen pathways for mentorship, leadership development, academic advancement, and professional recognition throughout the Department of Medicine.
