Medicine Scholars Program Celebrates First Cohort of Faculty
On Friday, May 29, 2026, the UMass Chan Medicine Scholars Program celebrated the graduation of its inaugural cohort of faculty scholars. Directed by Pranoti Mandrekar, PhD, professor and associate vice-chair of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, the goals of the program are to nurture promising faculty to become influential academic leaders in medicine, promote the development and academic advancement of faculty through a program tailored to their needs, and to provide outstanding mentorship and foster a community of scholars to advance their scholarship.
