Virtual Primary Care Bridge Clinic Celebrates 2nd Anniversary
The Department of Medicine recognizes the Virtual Primary Care Bridge Clinic as it celebrates its second anniversary.
The Virtual Primary Care Bridge Clinic is a virtual clinic that offers patients temporary primary care while waiting for their future PCP appointment in the UMass system. Patients who schedule a new primary care appointment that is more than eight weeks away are offered an appointment through the Bridge Clinic.
The clinic provides all primary care needs, including prescription refills, chronic disease management, reviewing care gaps, and ordering labs and imaging when needed. Additionally, the clinic offers some in-person appointments as well for patients who require in-person visits for acute needs or chronic disease management.
