Members of the Department of Medicine Strut for a Cause Benefitting Colorectal Cancer Awareness and Patient Care
On Friday, March 27, 2026, members of the Department of Medicine participated in Strut for a Cause, a fashion show held in partnership with the Colorectal Cancer Alliance of Central Massachusetts, Roll for Cancer, and Macy’s. The event, hosted at Maxwell Luciano’s at Union Station in Worcester, supported colorectal cancer care at UMass Memorial Medical Center and featured a curated Macy’s fashion show modeled by UMass caregivers, along with a full dinner, inspiring stories, raffles, and auctions.
Department of Medicine participants included Christopher Marshall, MD, clinical chief and assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Abbas Rupawala, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Poorva Bindal, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Allison Kostick, clinic supervisor, and Phil Ober, NP, Primary Care.
