Gregory Leslie Named to Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty, Class of 2026 

Gregory Leslie, MD, chief and assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine, was recently named to the Worcester Business Journal’s (WBJ) 40 Under Forty, Class of 2026. In its 27th year, WBJ’s 40 Under Forty awards recognize some of the region’s most promising young professionals.  

At UMass, Dr. Leslie oversees roughly 100 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers caring for more than 400 hospitalized patients daily. He helped launch UMass Memorial’s Hospital at Home program and co-founded its first Hospital Medicine Procedure Service, expanding access to medically necessary procedures. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Leslie served as associate medical director of the UMass Memorial DCU Center Field Hospital. He led physician staffing and helped develop clinical protocols as the facility cared for nearly 1,000 patients in 2020 and 2021.
