Mission: Promote and communicate the effective and consistent use of technology to support current and future modes of learning across UMass Chan schools and programs. 

Goals:

  • Advocate for the needs of schools and programs equitably including shared and school-specific.
  • Collaborate to prioritize shared learning-related IT needs of Schools and Programs including technology (software), educator development and related areas such as data collection, management, and reporting required to utilize IT effectively and maximize user experience. 
  • Share needs regarding Ed-Tech issues such as access, hardware with the appropriate team in IT.

  • Academic Advisement implementation (Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing)
  • Academic Advisement implementation (T.H. Chan School of Medicine)
  • Curriculum revenue projection tools (Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing)
  • Competency based Assessment tool for T.H. Chan School of Medicine Students and Faculty (researching if mature tools exist in the market)
  • Implementation of VISTA across applications – PeopleSoft, OASIS, BB Learn, ExamSoft, Top Hat

  • Continuous Development of Independent Learning Modules
  • HyFlex for all classrooms & auditoriums
  • New WiFi for library, learning centers and academic administrative spaces

  • Student Planner / Advisement implementation (Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing) – Implemented in October, preparing for Spring advising
