Research Participants Needed!
Now recruiting for the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for emerging adults research study (ACTsocial-EA).
We are looking for Young adults, ages 18-26, who self-identify as having a mental health condition/s to participate in twelve, 50-minute weekly therapy sessions (either virtually or in person at our Shrewsbury, MA office)
Participants must: self-identify as having a mental health condition, have interpersonal problems and feel socially isolated, be between 18-26 years old, be willing to be audio recorded, and live in Massachusetts.
This project will develop and evaluate ACTsocial for Emerging Adults, an adaptation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help emerging adults (EA) with mental health conditions (MHC) improve social connectedness (i.e., increase social support and social integration) and enhance mental health by assisting them to increase self-acceptance and more adaptively manage mental health symptoms.
