Biography

Hometown: Newmarket, NH

Undergraduate Institution: Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY

Future Plans: I am planning to apply to Thoracic Surgery Fellowship. Ultimately, I intend to combine my passions for thoracic oncology, robotic surgery, and surgical education in my future career. 

Why UMass?: UMass had absolutely everything I wanted in a residency - high case volumes in all specialties, excellent trauma exposure, a diverse patient population, and a supportive culture with awesome coresidents. Additionally, the location is in a great New England city (2nd largest only to Boston!). Since UMass is the only surgery residency in Worcester, everything comes to us, which is a huge benefit in training. 

Favorite things to do in Worcester: I love trying all of the local restaurants with my husband, going to Woo Sox games at Polar Park, and exploring local hikes with my golden retriever.
