BiographyHometown: Lexington, MA Undergraduate Institution: Brown University, Providence, RI Future Plans: I plan to pursue a career in academic surgical oncology, with a focus in translational immunotherapy research and early-phase clinical trial development. My long-term goal is to integrate surgical care with innovative immunotherapeutic strategies, leveraging approaches such as tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy and microbiome-based interventions to improve outcomes for patients with melanoma and other solid tumors. Why UMASS?: UMass offers a unique combination of strong clinical training and a genuinely supportive culture. What stands out most is the leadership and the faculty’s commitment to helping residents grow into the type of surgeon they aspire to be- whether that path is primarily clinical, academic, or a balance of both. The program creates an environment where residents are both challenged and supported as they build their careers. Favorite things to do in Worcester: Tapas at Bocado, drinks at the Mercantile, and arcade games at Free Play. My favorite local coffee roaster, Armeno, is also next door in Northboro! |
