Future Plans: Having grown up in a rural community, I hope to eventually move to a small town and practice general surgery.
Why UMass?: UMass is located in a perfect place in the Northeast with access to both city life and nature adventures. I felt that UMass provided ample opportunities for many career paths within general surgery. The program allows for competitive placement in fellowships, research opportunities, higher education goals, as well as preparing you to enter practice following residency training.
Favorite thing to do in Worcester: I enjoy meeting up with friends at restaurants and breweries.
