About Me: Hamid is originally from Iran and grew up in Vancouver, Canada. Outside of pathology, he enjoys traveling as much as humanly possible, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, spending time with his wife and their cat Gerdoo, and devoting an unreasonable amount of brain space to cars he may or may not need.

About Me: Before becoming a pathologist, Pavel worked as an attending physician in anesthesia / critical care in Russia. Today, Pavel enjoys computers, cars, natures and the great outdoors.

About Me: Courtney was born in Honolulu, HI and moved a lot as a military kid. She eventually settled in Alabama with her family where she got her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Troy University. She is half Korean and loves making and eating Korean food, digital art/comics, video games, anime, and staring at cute animals (the cutest of which are her three cats).

About Me: Henry was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, roll tide! He met his wife Leigh at medical school in Maine. Henry was selected for membership in the UMass Chan chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society in 2025. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, surfing and lots of relaxing.

About Me: Alysia is originally from Springfield, MA.  She completed her MD/PhD at UMass Chan where she focused her PhD on transcription homeostasis and the role of chromatic dynamics. Alysia was selected for membership in the UMass Chan chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society in 2025. She is interested in continuing research and has participated in a number of projects with a recent poster at USCAP where she presented her work on multiplex immunofluorescence of mismatch repair evaluation of cytology specimens. Alysia loves experimenting with baking, specifically cookie flavors and enjoys working on her flower farm.

About Me: Ryan is an explant from the Midwest - born and raised in Northwest Ohio. He attended the Ohio State University for his undergraduate degree in Microbiology. During his free time he enjoys hiking, working on his house, and is a diehard Boston Celtics, Chicago Bears, and Columbus Blue Jacket fan.

About Me: Hanh was born in Da Nang, Vietnam. She moved to Massachusetts at age 8 and completed all of her schooling in state, including college at Tufts University and medical school at Umass Chan. She loves eating out and will always have a restaurant recommendation on hand. Hanh has a knack for collecting hobbies, and this year roller skating is at the top of the list. Fingers crossed she sees it through. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, binging k-dramas and anime, listening to true crime podcasts, and aggressively sourcing trinkets on the marketplace. Most recently, Hanh became a cat mom and it's changing her life.

About Me: Mackenzie grew up in Arizona and eventually went on to play college softball at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University while getting a degree in Forensic Biology. She made the decision to apply to medical school in the Caribbean during COVID and spent two years studying on the beautiful island of Antigua. There she founded the school's first LGTBQ+ alliance and education club and was also a part of the beach volleyball club. She still loves being involved with both the local LGBTQ+ and athletic communities, and she can often be found cheering on the local women's professional leagues.
