Pranoti Mandrekar and Jennifer Po-wen Wang Recognized at Women’s Faculty Awards
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, the UMass Chan Women’s Faculty Committee Awards honored faculty members, regardless of sex or gender identity, who have demonstrated excellence in education, community service, scientific achievement, or patient care.
Among the recipients recognized were Pranoti Mandrekar, PhD, professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, and Jennifer Po-wen Wang, MD, professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology. Dr. Mandrekar was awarded the Outstanding Mentoring Award, and Dr. Wang was awarded the Science and Health Achievements Award.
