UMass Memorial Health (UMMH) Cancer Center Joins the Association of American Cancer Institutes
UMass Memorial Health (UMMH) Cancer Center has recently joined the Association for American Cancer Institutes as of December 2025. Led by David Cachia, MD, interim chief and professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, the cancer center comprises four research programs: Cancer and Cell Biology, Cancer Genetics, Translational Oncology, and Cancer Population Health Sciences, which span basic, translational, clinical, and population science. Partnering with the UMass Chan Medical School, the cancer center combines state-of-the-art technologies to diagnose, treat, and monitor cancers with compassionate care in a multispecialty, collaborative setting.
