Special Days of Learning
Primary Care Retreat
Each spring, our Primary Care residents and faculty gather for a day of immersive learning in a subject we feel is critical to residents' training. In the spring of 2023, we gathered at the Worcester Art Museum for a day dedicated to Lifestyle Medicine and the importance of physical activity. We were fortunate to have Dr. James Rippe share his expertise with us. We also participated in docent-led tours of the museum.
Our 2024 Primary Care Retreat will be dedicated to Gender-Affirming Care and is currently being planned.
Primary Care Symposium
Each Spring, our Primary Care residents and faculty gather for a day of teaching each other. Each resident delivers a 30-minute topic presentation of their choice to their peers. Recent topics included Sleep/Insomnia, PCOS, POCUS in the Primary Care Setting, Consumer Facing Medical Technology, Thrombocytopenia, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Iron Deficiency Anemia, Adult Attention Disorders, and Hypothyroidism.
Planning for our 2024 Symposium is underway.
