Research
My lab is interested in investigating the signaling mechanisms that underlie organogenesis and tumorigenesis of the gastrointestinal tract. Our work is focused on several key developmental pathways including Hedgehog, Hippo and Wnt signaling. We use a combination of transgenic mouse models and cellular approaches to dissect their roles in stem cell/progenitor self-renewal and differentiation, epithelial-mesenchymal interaction, and understand how dysregulation of these pathways contributes to gastrointestinal tumor initiation and progression.
