We would like to welcome Mariana Kurban, MD, PhD, our new research coordinator for the Department of Neurology in the Neuroimmunology and MS Center.  
 
Mariana Kurban, MD, PhD, completed her education from Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine specializing in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Kurban was an assistant professor for the Department of Propaedeutics from 2014 to 2022, teaching and examining pathological conditions of internal diseases, until the war changed her life. She is in the process of transferring her education and ten years of experience to the US medical state board requirements. 
 
Dr. Kurban moved to Worcester Massachusetts in August of 2022 with her two children, 14-year-old son, and 5-year-old daughter. Her husband joined them here in December. 

After visiting Niagra Falls in upstate New York this summer, Mariana looks forward to traveling together as a family to discover additional sites and wonders.
