Please register and join our Department of Neurology for the Ninth Annual UMass Neurology and Neuroscience Research Celebration to be held in-person at the UMass Faculty Conference Room, on Wednesday, May 15, from 5-8 p.m.


Our celebration showcases the amazing work currently being done by our clinical and translational research trainees. Graduate students, medical students, post-docs, residents and fellows are all invited to submit abstracts to celebrate the ongoing scholarship and investigation within our department.

Abstract submission process. Use this form to submit a maximum of 250 word abstract no later than March 25, 2024 by 5 pm EST. for qualification review by the neurology research celebration committee.

Announcing the Eighth Annual UMass Neurology and Neuroscience Research Celebration call for abstracts

Neurology Research Celebration presentations

Graduate students, medical students, post-docs, residents and fellows are all invited to submit abstracts. This will be an event celebrating the ongoing scholarship and investigation in our department, and an opportunity to showcase the amazing work being done by current trainees. You may submit abstracts that have been previously presented or work in development. Abstracts will be reviewed by the committee and exceptional abstracts will be selected for oral platform presentations. Others will be selected as poster presentations; inappropriate or methodologically flawed abstracts may be rejected. Authors will be notified no later than April 5, 2024 regarding results. 

Guidelines for online Abstract submission: Please read and follow carefully.  Straying from the guidelines below will disqualify you from prize or participation eligibility. 

Qualifying abstract submission criteria: 

  • Maximum of 250 words  
  • Organize the abstract body under the following headings: 

Abstract Title: 
Author Names and Affiliations: (not included in word count) 
Author List should be comma separated, organized by <First Name> <Middle Initial> <Last Name> <Highest academic title>. E.g., John H Doe MD, Justin Bauer PhD 

Objective: 
Background: 
Design/Methods: 
Results: 
Conclusions: 

Abstract and materials should be uploaded to the conference portal by Friday, March 25, 2024 at 5:00pm EST.
