Child Care Assistance

The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School provides a child care assistance program to help make child care for children in pre-kindergarten or younger affordable for working parents. The program pays a portion of child care costs for non-union employees at UMass Chan for any licensed child care provider.

Employees are eligible to enroll during two enrollment periods:

Program Effective Dates
Spring Annual Enrollment Period April 3 - May 1, 2024 July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025
Fall Enrollment Period Oct 1 – Oct 31, 2024 January 1, 2025-June 30, 2025

General Child Care Resource and Referral Assistance

UMass Chan provides employees with free child care resource and referral services through the Employee Assistance Program.  Link here to learn more about what's available and who to contact

Bright Horizons Family Solutions

UMass Chan also sponsors a Child Care Center, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, which provides care for infants, toddlers and preschool children in a safe, nurturing enviornment that promotes physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. Bright Horizons Family Solutions is located in the Shaw Building on 419 Belmont Street in Worcester.
