$4.4M health grant to help Union Hill improve lifestyles

UMass Chan Medical School’s Worcester Prevention Research Center has been awarded a $4.4 million from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to focus on reducing obesity and eliminating health disparities in the Union Hill neighborhood of Worcester. Stephenie Lemon, PhD, associate professor of medicine and co-director of the center with Milagros Rosal, PhD, professor of medicine, spoke to the Telegram & Gazette about the grant and its goals.
