More than 200 get degrees at UMass Chan Medical School

Chan School of Medicine, Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing and Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences receive their degrees at UMass Chan Medical School’s 40th Commencement exercises. Quoted in the story is Chancellor Michael F. Collins, MD, who recognized Christina H. Hernon, MD, assistant professor of emergency medicine, and Maurine Williams, MD, emergency medicine resident, for their part in responding to the twin bombing attack that killed three and injured 264 at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Also mentioned in the story was 2013 MD/PhD graduate Keith P. Romano who was hooded by Thomas F. Halpin, MD, professor of obstetrics and gynecology, the doctor who delivered him 32 years ago.
