Surgical Anesthesia

The department provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including perioperative anesthesia services, critical care medicine and pain medicine. We provide the highest quality anesthesia clinical care for patients with a broad spectrum of medical needs before, during and after surgery. At our University, Hahnemann and Memorial Campuses, we treat approximately 33,000 patients per year and these patients range from tiny neonates to patients at the end of life. Our anesthesia team provides care in the operating rooms, critical care units, obstetric units as well as procedural areas including interventional radiology, diagnostic imaging, electrophysiology, GI procedures and the pain center.
